Strength sessions in Shefford
9 strength sessions a week, capped at 15 people or fewer, from compound lifting to glute focused sessions and kettlebell work. The instructors include a powerlifter currently ranked 3rd in the UK, so the coaching is a long way from someone counting reps at you. Every session is mixed ability with options throughout.
The strength sessions we run
Powerhouse
A full body strength session built around mastering the key compound movements. The focus is on getting genuinely stronger and finishing with a serious full body pump, and you can expect plenty of intensity and a fast paced session throughout. Thursday evenings with Kelise.
Lower Body Club
Legs, glutes and lower body, with squats, lunges, pulses, resistance work and plenty of glute focused movement. It runs 3 times a week with a different instructor each time, so the sessions never feel like a repeat.
Kettlebell Club

Teen Strength Club
A strength session built for 13 to 17 year olds, coached by an instructor qualified to train adolescents. Friday afternoons with Kelise.

- Sunday Sweat
Personal Trainer for 5 years, teaching outdoor fitness sessions for the last 3. Currently studying to become a Health and Wellbeing Coach.
Morning Burn
The first session of the week at 6.15am, and it will wake you up. Conditioning work to get the heart rate going and shake the weekend off, with Wayne keeping it friendly and supportive whatever level you are at, and room to push harder if that is what you came for. You should leave energised and ready to take on the day.
Morning Lift
The midweek one, and this time the focus is strength. Working through the main movements to build strength you can use outside the room. Wayne makes sure everyone is comfortable with the weight they're on, and there's always the option to go heavier once you're ready for it.
Sunday Sweat
A later start and a full body session to finish the week off. Same friendly, energetic approach, and a good one whether you're rounding off a solid week or making up for one.

Vibes Ride
High energy indoor cycling set to music, with sprints and resistance changes building into a full cardio workout. You ride at your own pace and resistance, so there is no complicated choreography to learn and no need to keep up with anyone else. It runs first thing on a Friday, and Laura reckons it is the best way to wake yourself up before the day gets going.
Morning Lift
A strength focused start to the day, working through compound movements to build strength you can carry into everyday life. Laura keeps the pace steady and makes sure everyone is working at a weight that suits them, with room to go heavier as you get stronger.
A self confessed musical theatre nerd away from the gym floor, Hamilton fan in particular, though she promises to keep the show tunes to a minimum in session.

Common questions
I have never lifted weights before. Where do I start?
Lower Body Club is the gentlest way in, since it uses lighter loads and higher reps. Powerhouse is the most technical, so it is worth having a few sessions behind you first. Tell the instructor it is your first one and they will keep an eye on you.
Do I need to already be strong?
Not remotely. Every session is mixed ability and the weights are yours to choose, so a beginner and a regular can do the same session at completely different loads without it being obvious.
What is the difference between the strength sessions?
Powerhouse is compound lifting. Lower Body Club is lower body focused. Kettlebell Club is conditioning with kettlebells. Women's Lift Club is a women only session mixing strength and circuits.
Is there a session for teenagers?
Yes. Teen Strength Club runs on Friday afternoons for 13 to 17 year olds, coached by an instructor qualified to train adolescents.
What should I bring?
Water, a towel and trainers. All the equipment is provided.
Do I need a Vibes Gym membership?
No. Anyone can book. Vibes Gym members pay less per session, but membership is not required. Studio sessions are not part of a standard gym membership, though Vibes Complete does bundle unlimited gym access with 8 studio sessions a month if you want both.
