The yoga classes we run
Gentle Hatha Yoga
Slow paced and gentle, built around managing aches, pains and everyday stress. The breath is matched to each stretch, and the poses are planned around whoever happens to be in the room that week rather than following a fixed script. It finishes with a guided meditation and breathing session, and it runs on Sunday mornings.
Power Yoga
An energetic class that combines flowing movement with strength building poses. It works on strength, flexibility, balance and stamina, and because it asks for your full attention it tends to clear your head at the same time. It runs on Tuesday lunchtimes.
Midday Reset Yoga
Forty five minutes aimed squarely at what desk work, driving and sitting still for too long does to you. It starts with breathwork to calm a busy brain and sharpen your focus, then moves on to mobilising the bits that stiffen up, so tight necks and shoulders, compression in the lower back, and tight hip flexors. It runs on Monday lunchtimes.
Wind Down Yoga
Yin deep stretches and slow Hatha poses to close out the working week, ending with a guided meditation and relaxation in the final few minutes. If you want to arrive at the weekend feeling like a person again, this is the one. It runs on Friday evenings.
Yoga for Athletes
Mobility and recovery work aimed at people who train hard and need their body to keep up with what they are asking of it. It focuses on the range of motion that lifting, running and team sport tend to take away. It runs on Wednesday evenings.

Midday Reset Yoga
Hit pause on the workday with a short class aimed at what desk work, driving and sitting or standing too long does to you. Breathwork to lower cortisol, calm a busy brain and sharpen focus, then mobilising the bits that stiffen up while sitting: tight necks and shoulders, compression in the lower back, tight hip flexors and chests, and gently waking the glutes and core back up.
Wind Down Yoga
Mental closure on a busy week, and whole body relaxation. Yin yoga deep stretches to work the fascia and relieve tension, slow calming Hatha poses matching movement to breath, then a guided meditation and relaxation in the last few minutes.
Gentle Hatha Yoga
Gentle and slow paced, to help you manage aches, pains and stress. The breath is matched to each stretch for maximum benefit, with plenty of guidance throughout. Poses are planned per class around the aches, pains and health conditions of whoever is in the room, and it finishes with guided meditation and breathing.

Common questions
I have never done yoga before. Which class should I start with?
Either Gentle Hatha Yoga on Sunday mornings or Midday Reset Yoga on Mondays, since both are slower paced with plenty of guidance throughout. Power Yoga is the most demanding of the five, so leave that one until you have found your feet.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
No, mats are provided for you. Yoga is done barefoot or in grip socks, so just bring water and wear something you can move around in comfortably.
What is Yoga for Athletes?
Mobility and recovery work aimed at people who train hard, whether that is lifting, running or team sport. It focuses on the range of motion training tends to take away.
How long are the classes?
Forty five minutes, which is the same as most classes at the studio.
Do I need a Vibes Gym membership?
No. Anyone can book. Vibes Gym members pay less per class, but membership is not required.
